Our tour guide Michael was a friendly and energetic guide. You would have thought he lived in Rome his entire life by the enthusiastic way he spoke about the city. Even though I had been on a few tours already, he gave me new insight and knowledge of the city.

This was a wonderful walking tour with Michael! Michael was extremely knowledgeable about everything we saw and answered many questions. He led a great informational tour all while throwing in some humor and laughs as well.

Our guide provided us with interesting facts about the so called ‘Spanish steps’, showed us a secret aqueduct and showed us a good place to eat. Loved it!

This was a great tour that my husband I booked last minute after a previous tour was canceled due to the death of the pope. It ended up being just the two of us with our incredibly knowledgeable guide. He definitely knew his stuff and shared little details that we would have never been aware of. I highly recommend it.

Michael was excellent and provided a different take on Roman history, which included going down into the basement of a department store where the only aqueduct that has continuously worked since the establishment of Rome. A couple of thoughts that would improve it: I return as a teacher and the way to get people to remember ideas was to tell them what you’re going to tell them, tell them and then tell them what you told them. I really liked Michael’s off the beaten path approach (though I believe McDonald’s won and not the shop local people), but I think it would be best to set it up just as a teacher would to set expectations. Additionally, it might be worthwhile to ask people to not talk during the tour. He had a group of 12 Airbnb guests and 5 talked almost the entire tour. We just moved away from them but it would be better to ask that people not be taking to each other or during the entire trip as it was distracting in very busy areas that were already distracting. Lastly, as the places were so crowded and we had to wade through them, we’d lost Michael in the sea of people as he held his gray bag over his head which matched everyone there clothes. Maybe use a colored umbrella where he could pop it up as needed and use small to carry? These are easily addressable concerns that I hope make his tours even better. He was knowable, interesting and funny and we liked that his tour was out of the box.

I enjoyed learning about the history entwined in the churches visited on this tour. It was interesting and informative and I liked hearing about Michael’s perceptions of the facts. Thankyou.

The tour was very interesting. I’ve been to Rome before, and I was surprised to learn a lot of new information and see many sights that I had never noticed previously. The information gave me greater context on the organization and beautiful history of Rome.

The tour was unique in that it went to places aside from the general sites. It was even better to learn the history. Michael was very engaging and professional. The only (not negative) place I really didn’t care about was McDonalds. It didn’t seem to fit with the overall theme of the tour. Aside from that, everything was great!

This free walking tour is a hidden gem for anyone wanting to explore Rome beyond the typical tourist sites. It takes you through some of the city’s most beautiful and lesser-known churches, each filled with rich history and quiet charm.

Our guide Michael shared fascinating stories—not just about religious facts, but about the role and significance they once Held. You don’t need to be religious to enjoy this tour. In fact, it’s even more interesting when you see these buildings as cultural, social, and architectural landmarks. Also It’s a gentle reminder that the City’s soul is not only found in ruins and monuments but also in its quiet, candle-lit chapels, which can be found in the Most wondrous and uncommon places.

Also we loved that the atmosphere is calm and reflective, offering a welcome break from the city’s busy streets. A unique and meaningful experience—highly recommended!

We had been to rome before so wanted to see someone different.

This tour was v different as we visited 4 churches a few hundred yards from each other and was an indepth look at art ,the statues, design and history of each one.Micheal had tremendous knowledge mixed with humour.

If your staying in the termini area it’s 90 mins well spent
